Cleveland Cavaliers Injury Report: Five Players Listed for Game 5
Mitchell Out with Calf Strain, Jerome Out Indefinitely
The Cleveland Cavaliers will be shorthanded in their do-or-die Game 5 against the Boston Celtics on Wednesday. Five players are listed on the injury report, including star Donovan Mitchell, who is expected to miss the game with a calf strain.
Other Injuries
In addition to Mitchell, Jarrett Allen (ankle), Isaac Okoro (hamstring), and Ricky Rubio (knee) are all questionable for Game 5. Darius Garland (shoulder) is probable. ESPN reports that Jerome underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right ankle on January 23 and remains out indefinitely.
The Cavaliers are down 3-1 in the series and need a win in Game 5 to stay alive. Mitchell's absence will be a major blow to their chances of victory.
