The Celtics came out strong in the first quarter, but the Cavs fought back in the second and took a slim lead into halftime. In the third quarter, the Cavs rattled off a 14-0 run to take a commanding lead, a lead that they would hold onto for the rest of the game despite the Celtics' efforts to catch up.

Jayson Tatum led the Celtics with 33 points, followed by Jaylen Brown's 25 points. Darius Garland led the Cavs with 24 points, while Donovan Mitchell added 21 points and Jarrett Allen had 17 points and 11 rebounds. The Celtics will host the Cavs for Game 3 on Saturday night.
