Truck driver charged in fatal crash near Brockville, Ont.

Provincial police are confirming three people have died in a collision involving a tractor-trailer on Highway 401 east of Brockville, Ont.
The collision occurred at around 8:10 p.m. Monday night. OPP Sgt. Kristine Rae said a 55-year-old man and an infant who were killed in the crash were travelling in a car that was involved in a police pursuit.
Rae said it's not clear whether the police pursuit was a factor in the collision.
The driver of the tractor-trailer, a 31-year-old man from Brampton, Ont., has been charged with three counts of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death and two counts of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm.
The highway was closed in both directions for several hours following the collision.
